I think it’s obvious by now what my answer would be on this question.
READING β and if collecting books is considered a hobby then I’ll add that as well. π
When it comes to reading “novels” as a hobby, I didn’t start as early as I would have liked. It was my best friend who’s into reading thick novels, and is always the one carrying a book since Grade School. I remember how I would often ask her why she loves reading these boring-looking books, with no colorful pictures. It was something I couldn’t figure out until we were in High School.
Don’t get me wrong, like I’ve always said, I love to read. But during my younger years, I preferred comic books or picture books β colorful ones and with pop-up pictures. It’s not until we were in our second year in high school when I learned to appreciate the beauty of reading novels or books with no colorful drawings in them.
Anyway, why I like reading? Let me put it this way…
βSome say they get lost in books, but I find myself, again and again, in the pages of a good book. Humanly speaking, there is no greater teacher, no greater therapist, no greater healer of the soul, than a well-stocked library.β β L.R. Knost
